Staff Meeting Notes: Tuesday, September 28, 2010
Heroes Awards Breakfast: If you would like to attend the Everyday Heroes breakfast on October 21st at 7:30a.m. at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, please visit our website or you may contact Danielle (Communications & Public Support Manager). Registered volunteers should have received an email from Scott (CEO) regarding attendance. There is room for 900 people and we are offering a “set your own ticket price.” This means you set your own price for the cost of the ticket as a monetary donation to our chapter. Some paid staff is required at the Heroes Awards breakfast. Please check with your supervisor for details. For paid staff and volunteers, if you would like to bring a guest, please visit our website to purchase tickets or you can also pay at the front desk. You need to RSVP in advance to Danielle. The event begins at 7:30a.m. For that reason, the chapter will open that day at 10:00a.m. Please make arrangements to organize your schedule with your supervisor. The Heroes Awards is business casual attire, so please dress accordingly! Please no blue jeans, or shorts, etc. Think of it as an opportunity to have a “dress up affair”
In the News: Jennifer passed around two magazines. The In Business magazine had a page dedicated to the Heroes Awards Breakfast for our chapter. The Business Press magazine had an article on volunteering in the community and Dan Bryant (Board Member) talked brief about his reasons why he volunteers with our chapter. If you would like to see the magazines, just stop by Jennifer’s office.
