ONGOING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Health Fair Volunteers: Volunteers are needed to staff booths at local health fairs and share information regarding American Red Cross health and safety programs. Training provided. Schedules vary including evening and weekend opportunities. If you are interested in volunteering to be a part of the Health Fair team email Erika Taggart, erikat@redcrosslasavegas.org
Disaster Public Affairs Associate: Respond during local disasters and serve as a media liaison to help tell the Red Cross story. Volunteers serve on an on-call basis similar to Disaster Action Team members. For more information and a full job description contact Erika Taggart, erikat@redcrosslasvegas.org
ASL Sign Language Interpreters: We have a need for ASL qualified and certified interpreters to help meet both health and safety and disaster needs of the community. For more info email Erika Taggart, erikat@redcrosslasvegas.org
Babysitting Class “Adult”: Red Cross guidelines require an adult attend the babysitting class in addition to the Instructor. Although we ask a parent to attend this is not always an option. If you would be willing to attend the Babysitting Class please contact Doni Ward-McAlister at doniw@redcrosslasvegas.org. No specific training is needed. Courses are generally on the weekend, either a Saturday or Sunday from 9 am to about 5pm. Pizza lunch is provided. Feel free to bring a book or knitting!
